I had been wanting to visit the old Saxon cities and villages in Transylvania for years. My wife Linda, not so much, but she's a very good sport and went along. George was an outstanding guide, very knowledgeable and good company. Our destinations were pretty standard for three nights/four days - Sibiu, Sigisoara and Brasov, with stops in several castles and fortified churches as well. Our high point was a lunch with a very nice farm family in Floresti. I highly recommend George for anyone wanting very attentive and caring service, as well as very good driving.

Our favorite day tour was a drive from Sibiu - a real gem - to Sigisoara - another gem. It included an open air museum of over 50 traditional style homes and churches imported from all over Romania and located along a lake near Sibiu. It was really amazing. We followed this by visiting two fortified churches in old German villages, topped by the above-mentioned lunch with a farm family in a third village. We got to Sigisoara at 2pm and had a good guided tour there as well. It could not have been a better day.
