Brasov Old Town’s Square

The oldest place in Brasov is The Council Square.

It was, and still is today, the central place of the medieval city. In the 14th century, all the fairs where sellers from abroad came to sell their goods were organized in the City Square. In medieval times, witches were judged in this Square and even public executions took place here. Today, more peaceful events take place in the Square where a beautiful Christmas Market is organized.
