Brasov Council Square (Piata Sfatului)

Brasov Council Square (Piata Sfatului)

It is a typical European medieval town square, Brasov’s central point for the locals meeting and the place where each December is organized a superb Christmas Market. The Council Square was certified as a fair in 1520. The Council House is found in here, built in 1528, the old headquarters of the city hall, today a museum. In the 17th century, the building housed an execution room.
