Brasov Citadel has dominated the city for more than five centuries. It was the place of refuge for the locals during times of invasion.

Brasov Citadel was also a place of isolation for plague patients in the 1700s. The last battles took place here during the first world war. Today, from the Citadel of Brasov you can admire beautiful panoramic views of the city.
