Two week Private Tour in the Balkans and Transylvania

We propose a two week tour in the Balkans and Transylvania. You will cover five countries and you will explore amazing places in Transylvania, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

The tour starts in Bucharest, the Capital of Romania and continues to the famous Transylvania with its myths and legends and rich medieval history. Then, Budapest, the Capital of Hungary, Croatia with the breathtaking Plitvice Park and cities such as Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik or Sibenik. A day trip to Montenegro to Kotor and Perasts small towns and Slovenia with the beautiful Capital of Ljubljana and the amazing Lake Bled. Tour ends in Slovenia from where you fly back home, from Ljubljana. 

Day 1 
- you arrive in Bucharest, Capital of Romania. Transfer to your hotel and a walking tour in the Old Town where you will learn about the history of Bucharest and how it was affected by the times under communism.

Day 2 
- start the journey to Transylvania with a visit at Peles Palace and Cantacuzino Palace, the setting for Wednesday series and an amazing place for alpine views
- walking tour in Brasov Medieval Town 
OVERNIGHT IN BRASOV, ROMANIA 

Day 3 
- explore deeper Transylvania and visit Viscri Saxon Village to get a glimpse of the countryside of Transylvania
- walking tour in Sighisoara Medieval, an Unesco site
- reach Sibiu, the most beautiful Medieval Town of Romania
OVERNIGHT IN SIBIU, ROMANIA

Day 4 
- a longer drive today to get to Budapest, Capital of Hungary 
- stop in Timisoara City for a walk and lunch. You will learn how the anti-communist revolution started here in December 1989
- in the afternoon arrive in Budapest 
OVERNIGHT IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY

Day 5 
- explore Budapest on a walking tour 
- in the evening. a Danube River cruise to see Budapest by night with all the lights on - great experience
OVERNIGHT IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY 

Day 6 
- today we drive to Croatia to the famous Plitvice Park
- make a stop on the way for a walk and lunch in Zagreb, the Capital of Croatia
- in the afternoon, arrive in Plitvice area where, next day, we will visit Plitvice National Park, one of the wonders of Croatia 
OVERNIGHT IN PLITVICE AREA, CROATIA    

Day 7 
- in the morning, explore Plitvice National Park where we will walk for about 6 hours to enjoy this amazing natural jewelry 
- after visiting Plitvice Park, drive to Split City where we arrive in the evening 
OVERNIGHT IN SPLIT, CROATIA  - 8 poze plitvice 

Day 8 
- in the morning, have a two hour walking tour of Split Old Town and visit Diocletian Palace
- embark on a ferry to explore Hvar Island - great experience 
- in the evening, back to Split 
OVERNIGHT IN SPLIT, CROATIA

Day 9 
- today we drive to the one of the most famous places to visit in Croatia: Dubrovik - where we'll have a nice walking tour 
OVERNIGHT IN DUBROVNIK, CROATIA 

Day 10 
- Day Trip from Dubrovnik to Kotor and Perast Towns in Montenegro - great experience. Have lunch in Pertast, by the sea
- back to Dubrovnik - free time 
OVERNIGHT IN DUBROVNIK, CROATIA 

Day 11 
- drive on the Dalmatian Coast to the Old Town of Sibenik
- stop on the way for a nice walk and lunch in a beautiful small town: Trogir 
- in the afternoon, arrive in Sibenik and explore the narrow cobblestone streets and have dinner by the sea 
OVERNIGHT IN SIBENIK, CROATIA 

Day 12 
- a longer drive today to get to Slovenia
- stop on the way in Zadar City where we will have a walk in the Old Town and lunch 
- arrive in Ljubljana, the Capital of Slovenia, in the afternoon. Walking tour in Ljubljana. 
OVERNIGHT IN LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA 

Day 13 
- Day Trip from Ljubljana to Lake Bled, one of the most famous places to visit in Slovenia. Have a nice relaxed walk around the lake, approximate five hours, followed by a ham/cheese tasting in a nearby village - great experience ! 
- back to Ljubljana in the afternoon - free time
