Probably the best ambassador for Romania is King Charles III

Before becoming the King of Great Britain, Prince Charles used to visit Transylvania almost every summer.

The love story between King Charles and Transylvania began in the 90s when he became the patron of the Mihai Eminescu Trust. This foundation was started by Jessica Douglas Home in the 90s and aimed to save and preserve the houses in the Saxon villages of Transylvania.

The most successful project was the village of Viscri where most of the houses were restored with the help of the Foundation. Viscri also became the favorite village of Prince Charles who even bought a traditional house, where he used to stay. Now, the house is open to the public and offers us a beautiful collection of photography, as well as the chance to see King Charles' room.
