Hiking in Maramures - Rooster Crest Mountain

One of the moast pleasant activities to do in Maramures is hiking to the Rooster Crest Mountain.

The hike is very pleasant and easy. It starts from the main road, from Mara village and it takes you about 2.5 hours to get on the top. The panoramic views are very spectacular. The Rooster Crest mountain was a volcano which erupted about 9 milion years ago.

From the top of the mountain, there is a light hike down to beautiful village of Breb. A nice stop would be at Morarenilor Lake.
