After 2 years of the Covid pandemic, tourism was back in force. People's desire to travel again was unstoppable. Unfortunately, in March, just when tourists had started booking holidays in Eastern Europe, the war in Ukraine broke out.

Understandably, this scared people. We, at Touring Romania, remained calm and tried to explain to every potential tourist that Romania is a very safe country, a member of NATO since 2004 and the EU since 2007. Thousands of NATO soldiers are based in Romania. From this point of view, Romania is in the best moment of its history.

After the war broke out, Romania received a wave of refugees from Ukraine. Almost 2 million people in need entered Romania. The Romanians reacted superbly: they made their houses and apartments available, everyone helped as they could. That is why, in Romania, we did not have a refugee crisis. And now, there are many Ukrainians who are hosted in Romania until peace returns to Ukraine. We, at Touring Romania, made available our resources, especially transport for the refugees arriving in Bucharest. We transported families for free to various places and even in Bulgaria. It was our way of helping people in need.
 

Months passed and people understood that the war was limited to the territory of Ukraine, and Romania was not affected by this war at all. Requests for private tours in Romania, have started again and we have done some wonderful tours with guests from the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Germany, Canada or Singapore.

Another impediment that slows down travel is the rampant inflation that has gripped the entire planet. Obviously, this affects us as well, especially since fuel prices have increased dramatically. However, our policy is to find solutions to help people discover Romania. That's why we didn't increase the prices at all compared to last year.
