“SAINT JOAN THE NEW“ CHURCH FROM SUCEAVA - UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE
This church is located in Suceava’s Residence Citadel and it was built in 1522 to be an archiepiscopal cathedral. It is renowned for the exterior painting kept on the Southern wall and because it houses the relics of Saint Joan the New, a Christian murdered by the Tatars in 1330. He is the protector of Suceava.
