ROMANIAN PATRIARCHAL CATHEDRAL
Placed on a slope, the Romanian Patriarchal Cathedral was built between the years 1654 - 1658, by the Romanian County voivode, Constantin Șerban Basarab. The Patriarchal residence dates ever since, the beautiful Church was sanctified by Macarie, Patriarch of Antioch.
After the First World War the Bucharest Metropolitan Church was promoted as Patriarchy.
