DAY 1 BUCHAREST

On the first day, we will be waiting for you at the airport, and we will take you to the hotel. Depending on the time of your arrival, we will start visiting Bucharest. In addition to the pedestrian tour in the historical center and the car tour of the town, we will visit Village Museum. OVERNIGHT IN BUCHAREST

 

DAY 2 BUCHAREST - SIBIU

The first stop will be at Cozia Monastery. Around noon we will reach our destination: Sibiu. After we accommodate in a hotel, we will make a pedestrian tour of the city's historical center. We will visit Large Squareand Small Square; we will cross Bridge of Lies where you will find out all about the legends that embrace it. We will have a superb panorama of Sibiu and of the mountains from the Council Tower. We will lose ourselves through the narrow and charming streets of the historic center. We will visit the city’s monumental churches: Catholic Church, Lutheran Church and Orthodox Cathedral. OVERNIGHT IN SIBIU

 

DAY 3 Sibiu - SIGHET

In the morning, we leave Transylvania behind to reach Maramures. On the way, we will get the chance to visit Fortified Church from Calnic, registered within UNESCO World Heritage . Our way to Maramures continues and we will visit a few wooden churches from the UNESCO World Heritage: churches from Budesti and Poienile Izei. We get to Sighet where we accommodate. We will visit the "funniest" cemetery in the world – Merry Cemetery. You will discover the Romanian sad history during the visit paid to Sighet Memorial, located in the former communist prison where hundreds of Romanian opponents of the communist regime were tortured and killed. DAY 4 SIGHET – GURA HUMORULUI

We do not leave Maramures yet - we will embark on a dream train for a relaxing trip - “Mocanita", a journey like100 year ago. Our path continues to Moldavia and we will visit the painted monasteries from Bukovina: Moldovita, Sucevita and Voronet found within UNESCO world heritage. In the evening we are going to arrive to the beautiful city of Gura Humorului, where we will accommodate. OVERNIGHT IN GURA HUMORULUI.

 

DAY 5 GURA HUMORULUI - SOVATA

In the morning, we will visit the Humor Monastery, registered within UNESCO world heritage and we will head to Transylvania by crossing a superb area – Bicaz Canyon and we will reach the Red Lake. In the afternoon we will accommodate in the lovely Sovata resort. OVERNIGHT IN SOVATA.

 

DAY 6 SOVATA - SIGHISOARA

We will head to Sighisoara, visiting Praid Saline on the way. We will arrive in Sighisoara Citadel, registered within UNESCO world heritage. After we accommodate, we will have time enough to enjoy the best kept Romanian medieval town. We will visit Medieval Citadel, Citadel Square, Clock Tower, Vlad Dracul house, where the ruler Vlad the Impeller grew up (known in the whole world as Dracula due to the writer Bram Stoker). We will also visit other historical monument buildings of Sighisoara: Stag House, Venetian House, Church from the Hill, Church of the Dominican Monastery, Student Stairs. OVERNIGHT IN SIGHISOARA

 

DAY 7 Sighisoara - BUCHAREST

We are in the very heart of Transylvania and we will take advantage of it. The road to Brasov shall lead us to the preferred village of Prince Charles, Viscri. We will visit peasant citadel and fortified church from Viscri, included in UNESCO world heritage. We will reach Brasov, where we will visit the historical center and Black Church. On the way back we will stop to visit Peles Castle, the former residence of the Romanian Royal House. OVERNIGHT IN BUCHAREST

 

DAY 8 BUCHAREST

After breakfast, depending on the time of your departure, we will visit Palace of the Parliament, the largest non-military building in the world, and then, we will take you to the airport.
