Get ready for a Food Tour in Transylvania! In 2019 Sibiu is the European Gastronomy Capital!

In 2007, Sibiu Medieval City was the European Cultural Capital. It was the year when Romania entered European Union. Sibiu is probably the most beautiful city of Romania, with a rich medieval history. Sibiu is situated in the center of Romania in Transylvania.

The area is famous also for the local cuisine: cheese and meat are one of the most tastefull  in Romania.

The local authorities are proud to say that the visitors will find in Sibiu the heathiest traditional food in Romania. The ingredients are from the local farms arround Sibiu. Especially Marginimea Sibiului produces the most famous cheese in Romania. Not to say about the smoked meats !
